Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized speech and language support to K-12 students in a public school setting located in Fabens, TX. This contract position is ideal for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) ready to address a significant caseload while helping students regain essential communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade.
- Manage a caseload of up to 64 students, primarily focusing on high school-age youth who have lacked services for an extended period.
- Conduct thorough assessments and implement IEP goals while performing extensive documentation and service backlogs.
- Provide support to K-8 students as needed, with caseloads around 40, including schools that have experienced recent therapy service gaps.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding special education and therapy services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Ability to provide bilingual services is a plus.
- Experience working with school-age populations, particularly in high school settings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage large caseloads and existing service backlogs.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education protocols.
- Commitment to working full days; part-time available but must cover full school days, not partial hours.
Location & Schedule:
- On-site position based in Fabens, TX (Lower Valley, south of I-10 for high school caseload; northeast of I-10 for K-8 caseload).
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
- Contract duration through the end of the current school year in June 2026.
